  • 95# Bench Press
  • 120# Cleans

Time = 19:14

The last time I have a record of doing this WOD was February 2010.  Today I used the same weights on the deadlift and cleans and use 20# less on the bench press.

Scaled as follows:  10, 9, 8 – Bench Press @ 135lbs. (85%)  ||  7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 – Bench Press @ 115lbs. (75%)

This was a PR in more than one way. Firstly, I beat my previous time of 19:38. In addition, I used an additional 18lbs. (can we call it 20lbs.) for the Bench Press. I’m very happy with the improvement. Again, working alongside someone, I always push harder.

This is a HUGE improvement over my previous time. Now I need to work toward getting to the rx’ed BP weight.

Today’s workout was the one that I’ve heard about for quite some time. It is one of the most dreaded WOD’s in all of CrossFit. Although I had to scale the Bench Press portion and resort to Power Cleans on the second round (9 reps), I was pretty happy with my effort.
