3 rounds of Lynne before a nosebleed forced me to quit.  Can’t recall the BP numbers (who cares, they’re weak) and I think the pull-ups were 20/18/18.

Excited to have new members Dave, Seth, Helen, John, and potentially Zach join myself, Doug, Anders, Tut, et al. for the evening class.  Welcome aboard everyone!  TitanFit is becoming what I knew it could.  And I’m glad to have your company and competition.

Shoulder feels good now. I will keep you posted on how it feels tomorrow.

And thankfully, JB is back at CrossFit. He’ll struggle for a couple of weeks, but then we’ll have an awesome cast of characters for “Team 1700”. Here we come!

The First Repeat

The diet is coming back nicely.

Today was my first repeat “benchmark” workout at TitanFit. Although I didn’t do it as rx’ed, at least it gave me a good indication as to the progress I’ve made.

Bench Press = 20, 14, 15, 11, 11 (95 lbs.)
Pull-ups = 20, 20, 20, 20, 23

Overall I’m happy with the improvement. After the WO I completed my first handstand push-ups (HSPU). To those who haven’t done these before, it’s trickier than it looks. I worked up to 4 consecutive which I considered a good starting point. Here are some pics at the top and at the bottom of the HSPU’s.


Day Two

Diet was solid today, even with the temptations of birthday cakes, etc. at work.

Breakfast
2 – Harboiled Eggs
1 – Cup of Strawberries
12 – Cashews

Snack 1
1 – Hardboiled Egg
0.5 – Cups of Grapes
6 – Almonds

Lunch
2 oz. – Turkey Breast
0.25 – Cups of Cottage Cheese
1 – Slice of Bread
1 – Cup of Green Beans
3 – Macadamia Nuts
9 – Almonds

Snack 2
1 oz. – Turkey Breast
0.5 – Cups of Grapes
6 – Almonds

Dinner
2 oz. – Chicken Breast
2 – Cups of Cheese
0.5 – Slice Greek Wheat Pita
1 – Cup of Green Beans
0.375 – Cups of Applesauce
Mayo and Nuts

5 Rounds, with each Round lasting 5 minutes.

Complete Bench Press (95 lbs. for me) and Pullups to failure.

Rest the remainder of the 5 minutes.

My Reps were as follows:

1 – 17 BP & 17 PU’s
2 – 17 BP & 17 PU’s
3 – 11 BP & 17 PU’s
4 – 10 BP & 17 PU’s
5 – 11 BP & 27 PU’s

I “gamed” the Pull-ups, not knowing what was ahead in the later rounds. Next time I’m BP’ing 115 lbs. and shooting for 20 PU’s across each Round.

Gotta go – an all new HOUSE is on in a couple of minutes!
