Nice Turnout

Wow. We had 6 participants for MOB today. Awesome.

MOB

My worst nightmare was the Thrusters immediately following SDLHP’s. Oh those sucked. On a brighter note, it was great that we had multiple participants.

Another good day on the diet. Looking forward to the unique pork chop dinner tonite.

I’ve been having a little bit of trouble with my knees lately during high-rep squat type exercises or when on the rower. I’m going to monitor this over the next week. It’s a burning sensation on the outside of the knee cap, in the muscle.

Today’s workout has become somewhat the Sunday staple at TitanFit, as it is suitable for 3+ people to do without getting in the way of others.

Today there were three of us that did MOB. Here is how it works:

1. Herb solicits exercises from each of us that we would like to do.
2. You do a rotation of (x – 1) number of exercises, plus rowing, in each round with x being the number of participants.
3. The rowing machine is set to a 1 minute row and a 20 second rest for the total number of rounds.
4. Today there were three participants. I started on the rowing machine, Megan started push-ups, and Seth began box jumps. The goal is to do as many reps of the exercise as possible in the allotted one-minute time frame. I would notify the others of the remaining time periodically throughout my row. After the 1 minute expires we rotate stations. I went to box jumps, Megan went to the rower, and Seth went to push-ups.

So today, three rotations constituted one round. We completed a total of 6 rounds, taking about 24 minutes to complete. The thing that I like about MOB is that it allows you to do several different exercises in a very short amount of time. The best that I can recall, the following are the exercises we did today:

  • Box Jump
  • Push-ups
  • Pull-ups
  • SDHP
  • KB Swings
  • Stingers
  • Ab Wheel
  • Squats
  • Get-ups
  • Press
  • And of course the rowing

Another thing that I like about MOB is that it allows everyone to workout together. After we’re done we reflect on what exercises we liked and what we disliked. And the 24 minutes goes by much faster than you might think.

Here are a couple of pics from todays MOB (yes, I will change the date/time on my camera):

And yet more Push-ups!
